apr 21, 1985 - The Glenn Research Center develops
a clear image of the object near Jupiter:
AZ-001 is discovered
Description:
"... Scientists at the Glenn Research Center were able to direct five other observatories toward the object, and on April 21st, the first clear image was developed. The image depicted an object 66.3 km in diameter. Following this discovery, NASA researchers launched a biosignature scan of the object to search for unusual gas emissions. Excess trace emissions of carbon, nitrogen, phosphorous, and ozone were detected alongside other anomalous gas formations. The mass composition was deemed 'highly anomalous' and appeared to resemble that of a carbon-based lifeform's material composition."
