US Vice President JD Vance has departed for Islamabad, where he is scheduled to join talks with Iran on Saturday to end their war.

In advance of the talks, Israel continues to bombard Lebanon after killing at least 300 people and injuring 1,150 in nationwide strikes on Wednesday.

Twelve state security personnel have now been confirmed killed in Lebanon’s Nabatiyeh, where an earlier Israeli attack targeted a state security office, according to Lebanon’s President Joseph Aoun.
