In January 2026, Ascia di Ferro began construction of a national museum for Inostropia. However, the project would never be completed or officially recognized. The building was widely criticized as “too ugly” to serve as the nation’s official museum, and its fate was further sealed by external events. At the same time, the Inopenses, a northern group that had recently begun threatening Inostropia, escalated their aggression. At around 8 PM (GMT+1), a small group secretly entered Inostropia City and planted a bomb inside the partially finished structure. Although the exterior of the building had been completed, the interior remained unfinished. The explosion heavily damaged the structure, destroying its lower sections and severely weakening the upper parts. By this point, however, the Inostropians were no longer surprised by such attacks, as tensions with the Inopenses had already been rising for several days. Senator Vorhees3709 even advocated for a full military response and war declaration. In the aftermath of the bombing, the Senate held a vote to determine the building’s fate. The central question was whether the damaged structure should be repaired and completed or demolished entirely.
