Description:

In November of 1792, King Louis was put on trial for treason once the National Convention suspected that he had secretly been making plans against the revolution. Once he was found guilty, he was sentenced to death and beheaded by guillotine. This was incredibly significant to the French Revolution because it definitively ended the rule of monarchy in France after a thousand years.
