A book was discovered in the city of Stormhaven by SIIAZE and InfinityZoom187. It was written by someone calling himself “Ambiorigius” (a Gallic name meaning “king of the surroundings” or “ruler of both sides”). In the text, he claimed to be the duke of the Inopenses (Latin for “the dispossessed”). The letter contained a request directed at the Inostropian Republic, asking whether his people could be granted land in the northern territories of Inostropia in order to settle and rebuild their lives. An image of the letter was forwarded to the Senate for discussion. The responses were divided: Vorhees3709 argued that the group should be treated as barbarians and eliminated, referencing past conflicts Inostropia had experienced with so-called barbarians during the winter of 2024/25 and the spring of 2025. In contrast, De Kokkies recommended rejecting the request peacefully in order to avoid unnecessary conflict, especially given the lack of reliable information about who the Inopenses were or where they came from. De Kokkies’ position gained more support, and ultimately SIIAZE decided to act on it. A reply was sent by placing a written response in the same chest where Ambiorigius’ letter had been found. In it, Inostropia formally refused the request for territorial settlement in the north, but also expressed openness to alternative ways of offering assistance.
