He was not alone in this opinion. Several other senators, including EternalAbyss169, Ascia di Ferro, and Consul LegacyWhyt, shared similar concerns. As a result, a Senate election was proposed to decide whether Dorossia should be demoted back to village status, especially given that it appeared to be inhabited solely by its mayor, Daewe.

The vote sparked significant conflict within the Senate. On one side were opponents of the demotion, including InfinityZoom187, De Kokkies, and Daewe himself. On the other side stood supporters of the demotion, such as Heart9147, EternalAbyss169, LegacyWhyt, and Ascia di Ferro. Both sides campaigned intensely to influence the outcome.

In the end, however, the proposal to demote Dorossia was rejected. EternalAbyss169 ultimately changed his stance and voted against the demotion, while Vorhees3709, who had remained largely neutral, also cast his vote in favor of keeping Dorossia as a city.

The final result was 33% in favor of demotion and 67% against it. InfinityZoom187 did not vote, as he was overseeing the election as Prime Minister. LegacyWhyt also abstained, stating that he felt his vote would not change the outcome.

Thus, Dorossia retained its status as a city.
