sep 25, 1957 - Eisenhower Sends in Federal Troops into Little Rock
Description:
On this day, Eisenhower sent Federal troops to Little Rock in order to allow nine black students to attend Central High School. Earlier that day, Eisenhower authorized the Arkansas National Guard as well as the Federal forces to abolish any obstructions to justice. This was historic day. For the first time since the Reconstruction Era, the government was using its power to push equality of Southern Blacks.
