Mr.Stryver brought to the jury's attention that the prisoner and Sydney Carton look very similar. As the jury observes this they agree and come to the conclusion that the prisoner is actually innocent and they let him go. Mr.Carton was the guy looking at the ceiling the whole time. He announced that the reason Darnay was traveling between countries was because of family affairs.
