apr 16, 1961 - Dr. Victor Wolfgang Franz is
interviewed by one of his students
regarding the Wasp Nest Program
Description:
(Circa April 16th of 1961, before April 19th)
Student: "Such things get around here and there. But as I take it, the technique is being used -- in the 19th, so I've heard..."
Dr. Franz: "Yes. Her natural habitat."
Student: "Now... May I inquire about the nasty rumors? The talks of an unwanted, unsatisfying side effect of the treatment. A slow blossoming within, so they say."
Dr. Franz: "The Agency still has grave doubts -- for in some of the preliminary trials, WASPs suffered a small amount of tissue mutation. The growth of such a mutation over time and exposure is uncertain."
Student: "They say it were like petals growing within. Small petals sprawling from within."
Dr. Franz: "She is an intelligent, unpredictable piece of nature still otherworldly to all. That must be acknowledged. She understands the mind more than any living conscious being. Worry not, the treatment is effective, worry not."
