jan 1, 1864 - Book of Marvypas I; A Statement by Professor
Fyodor Petrov Lebedev in Lower Saxony
Description:
(Circa 1864)
"A grieving parent is most conductive of cosmic forces. And then she bargained with the Keen Serpent, should her redeem her motherhood, on the shores of the Weser River. And the water turned crimson, as the blood of our children sunk below, the covenant was fulfilled, and raised were objects of our grief: The Twins. Yet the compact commands the sorcerer's willingness. The bargain commands veneration. Contrarily, the viper won't sink its teeth. Symbols speak the language of our faith. O: The Circle; The Cycle & The Obsession. △: The Triangle; Fire. ∇: The Inverted Triangle; Water. —: The Line; The Bond. In their covenant, the serpent would grant power to those who venerate it. Power to defy death, power to reunite Life and Death. One can only speculate about the sorcerer's mental state. But, as for the Ludolf, with all due respect, I wish to refrain from discussing her personal tragedies. Truth is, the serpent is alluring elixir vitae, oozing from the viper's fangs."
