mar 1, 1942 - McConnell Air Force Base is constructed
Description:
(Originally constructed as the Wichita Municipal Airport on June 28th, 1929, it was leased over to the Federal Government on March 1st, 1942 for the Midwestern Procurement District to begin assembling B-29 Superfortresses. By 1952, the Air Force wanted to permanently use the airport, under the name Wichita Air Force Base in honor of Wichita brothers. The name didn't last a year until it was changed to McConnell Air Force Base)
(It is mentioned in Midwest Angelica's "Part Two: The Ark", as its the place where John Patmos was serving an internship at)
(McConnell AFB seems to have been a source for equipment and materials during the construction of The Ark)
