aug 29, 1821 - Treaty of Chicago
Description:
The treaty of Chicago was a economical event. It opened Michigan for the white settlers.During this time the Natives were thought of as annoyances and were not a part of American society. There had been tension over the land between the Natives and the settlers and the treaty prevented violence from breaking out although violence often did happen in other places. Michigan is now a part of the US because of this treaty.
