Description:

Men were rushing into the North in hope to find gold and dogs were going to be their transportation through the freezing terrain. The dogs they needed had to be strong, with furry coats, and Buck was perfect for the job. Overtaken by greed, Manuel, one of the gardener’s helpers, was in need of money and while everyone was out and about he pretended to take Buck on a walk and sold him to a stranger. This marks the start of Buck’s journey.
