Description:
Deputy Governor Major von Doering explains Togo's neutrality and tries to reach an understanding with the British and French. As France did not answer at all and England only evaded, the state of war is imposed. On 6 August the British troops occupy Lome, and on 7 August the French occupy Anecho and Porto Seguro. The deputy governor and his troops are retreating inside. Porto Seguro is occupied by the French.
