I consider the Games, Books and Films as separate timelines with loosely adjacent lore

I HAVE NEVER READ THE BOOKS THERE IS VERY LITTLE BOOK INFLUENCE UNLESS I HAVE CONSUMED THAT MEDIA THROUGH VIDEO FORM (other than survival logbook)

I have watched the films, I believe them as a summary of the game lore for a more mainstream audience, therefore it changes information to make it easier to consume.
It reflects game lore but shouldn't be taken as a 1 for 1
