It was during one of these catastrophic eruptions that Volcaryon Bearwing emerged.
According to ancient Grikonian records, villagers near the volcanic highlands witnessed the mountain split open beneath a blood-red sky. From the heart of the eruption stepped a human child untouched by flame or ash. Lava curled around him harmlessly while the earth beneath his feet cooled into solid stone pathways.
The villagers believed the volcano itself had given birth to a guardian.
