apr 1, 1994 - Private Investigator K. Jones writes a report about the Oasis Greenhouse of Eventide Valley's closure

Description:

"The Oasis Greenhouse of Eventide Valley, founded by the Botanical Foundation of Massachusetts, opened its doors for the first time in 1952. However, after over 40 years of operation, it shut down in 1994 for unknown reasons. Allegedly, members of a video crew hired to make a documentary for the greenhouse ended up getting killed during the shoot. The circumstances surrounding these deaths remain unclear. About a month ago, I began my investigation of the property which is now abandoned and overgrown. I filmed my entire trek through the property, documenting some truly bizarre exotic plants and fungi along the way. Whatever was going on in this greenhouse was not normal. About 30 minutes into my expedition, a loud rumbling began to violently shake the property. Seeing as parts of the building were beginning to decay, I decided for my safety to leave the premises. As I was leaving, the rumbling grew louder. I turned around only to see what looked like a massive, 40-foot tall venus fly trap above the south wing. I caught a few seconds of it on camera being running the other direction and leaving the property entirely. About a week following this encounter, I received a knock on my door from a man who wanted to see the footage of the greenhouse. I showed him, and he forcibly grabbed the tape and left. I never saw him again."
