mar 4, 1974 - Luke Collins' Court 198-A Case Hearing
Description:
Investigator: "When were you deployed to Bikini Atoll?"
Luke: "Around May of '71. It was relocation off the back of my deployment in Vietnam. We weren't given any details at the time."
Investigator: "And for the unauthorized test, do you know who might be responsible?"
Luke: "Nobody, that's the issue. This wasn't an ordinary bomb. It went off on its own and it seemed to have a life of its own."
Investigator: "Can you provide a detailed account of what happened?"
Luke: "Yes. The bomb went off, everyone ducked down, but I reached for my respirator. I believe that's the only reason I'm standing here today. There was something in the air and everybody was breathing it in. I saw, in front of my eyes, an officer's face ripped in half by some organic growth that came from his throat. Officers around me were dropping dead with the same fleshy growths protruding from their corpses. It was unlike anything I'd seen. When the carnage subsided, I looked up at the mushroom cloud, only to see it too was covered in the same web-like biology. Nothing about it made sense to me then. And it still doesn't."
Investigator: "Thank you, Lieutenant. We appreciate your time today."
