a report about the Oceanview
Weather Station Incident
Description:
"According to a local urban legend, in 1943, a massive storm shook the town of Misty Point. One of the residents managed to capture a photo of the storm. It didn't look much like a storm. More like a face. I found a photo hanging up in the Seashell Inn on Prince Avenue. On June 27th of 1993, the same thing happened again. This time, there's more evidence. Scouring local sources, I managed to find a VHS recording of an Oceanview Weather broadcast that took place that night. The station is still in operation and is located at Misty Point. What I found on that tape was utterly bizarre. There seemed to be that same face burned into the VHS. What's even weirder, it seemed to be tied to the light from the lighthouse in some way. As if the lighthouse was burning a hole into the VHS as it was recorded. Where this gets weird, I was coerced by a man who claimed to be from the Eventide Media Group into selling my copy of the tape to him. I eventually obliged but kept a copy for myself. Perheps there's more to this legend than what I was led to believe."
