Serial rapist and former Metropolitan Police officer David Carrick has been found guilty of sexually abusing a 12-year-old girl and another woman.

The 50-year-old, who has already been jailed for life, has been convicted of molesting the girl in the late-1980s, when he was 14, and raping the woman more than 20 years later.

Jurors at the Old Bailey found the former constable guilty of nine offences and he is due to be sentenced on Thursday.

Carrick, from Stevenage, is already serving a minimum term of 32 years in prison, having admitted 71 offences of sexual violence committed over a 17-year period.
