jan 13, 1650 - Thomas Sydenham
Description:
Thomas Sydenham was an English doctor, and became known as the "English Hippocrates". he stressed how doctors needed to take a full history of a patient's health, and use symptoms to figure out what they had and how to help them. He told young doctors to go to the bedside, as that is where you can learn the most, and often recommended rest and relaxation over bleeding or purging.
