Description:
The Dutch East India Company hired Hudson to lead an expedition. He was given the "Half Moon", and a crew of 20 men. He headed northeast, but his crew became unbehaving with the cold weather, so he rerouted across the the Atlantic and headed along the east-coast. They went as far as current-day North Carolina. Hudson traveled up what became known as the Hudson River to the site of present-day Albany, New York.
