nov 1, 1917 - Gerrit Rietveld – Red-Blue Chair (1917) The Red-Blue Chair is one of the first three-dimensional expressions of the De Stijl movement. Rietveld used simple, intersecting planes and straight wooden slats to create a chair that looks almost like a 3D abstract painting.
