Description:

1763, Pontiac, an important Ottawa Chief, organized several Native American groups to attack British and settler positions in the Ohio River valley. He besieged Detroit, overran all but 3 British posts West of the Appalachians, and killed 2000 settlers and soldiers. This event foreshadowed a long and bloody relation between Native Americans and English westward expansion.
