Description: On this occasion the american soldiers surrounded the British inside of Boston and only letting out those who were not loyalist eventually overtaking the city.
Significance:
1. The first naval engagement of the revolutionary was the Battle of Hog Island this is significant because it was a part of the siege of Boston.
2. Another battle which boosted morale of those in the Continental Army that they were able to defeat the British( They did not win this battles but the British army had severe casualties.)
3. The reason this was signifiance was that it was a big win for them because of the port of Boston and the use of it after this.
