A program designed to showcase policing as a career path to youths was shut down after instances of child abuse. One former youth participant filed a lawsuit claiming both abuse and a subsequent cover-up. An internal investigation after the incident in 2015 had resulted in no action taken. Louisville Metro settled in 2021.
