The Consuls EstEnderYT and Abdullah8950, together with Prime Minister InfinityZoom187, held discussions about changing Inostropia’s official currency from gold to emeralds. The decision was motivated by Minecraft’s mechanics, as emeralds are used in villager trading, are harder to obtain, and therefore better suited as a stable currency. The three leaders held a vote among themselves and unanimously agreed to implement the change. However, the transition took time before being officially carried out. The agreement was reached on October 5th, 2025, but the currency change only officially came into effect on October 28th, 2025. By the time the change was implemented, new consuls had already taken office.
