apr 19, 1775 - The Battle of Lexington
Description:
The Revolutionary War included many small engagements, and it's difficult to pinpoint a single battle with the absolute lowest number of soldiers, as the "battle" designation can be applied to a wide range of skirmishes. However, the first shots fired at the Battle of Lexington involved a very small number of Patriot militia (around 75-80 men) facing a much larger British force (around 700 men).
