Description:
Debt payments to the US for the loan (see Dawes Plan) and various other countries for reparations (see Treaty of Versailles) were halted reparations using a moratorium (halt of all payment). This was allowed due to a fear of communism among western countries (those who would receive reparations. This was seen as the Nazi Party fulfilling it's promises to the German people.
