Harry Truman was the vice president to FDR. However in FDR's term he died. This now made Harry Truman the President of the United States. President Truman is best known for ending WW2 by using 2 atomic bombs on Japan. He ultimately decided to use these bombs due to Japan not surrendering. This then forced Japan to surrender. Truman helped establish forge in polices during his time as president. One of these were the Truman Doctrine which helped provide economic aid to Greece and Turkey, which were countries that were starting to get threatened by communion. He also supported the creation of NATO. After his time was up in office, he ran again. He was then the 33rd President of the United States.
