Due to the success of Fredbear's Family Diner, a sister location is opened in the form of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, featuring Freddy Fazbear, Bonnie the Rabbit, Chica the Chicken, and Foxy the Pirate animatronics in addition to their springlock predecessors.
The Crying Child might have seen something potentially leading to his fear of the Fredbear's animatronics.

5 days before the Crying Child's birthday.
Crying Child is locked in his room by his older brother.
4 days before Crying Child's birthday.
Crying Child is jumpscared by his older brother from behind the television.
3 days before Crying Child's birthday.
Crying Child is forcibly left behind at Fredbear's Family Diner by his older brother, where he get a glimpse of William Afton helping an employee in a back room. However, he is too horrified by the mascots to do anything.
2 days before Crying Child's birthday.
Crying Child manages to leave Fredbear's Family Diner, interacts with some other kids on the way home, and is jumpscared by his older brother again.
The day before Crying Child's birthday.
Crying Child is locked in a back room of Fredbear's Family Diner.
Crying Child's birthday.
As a final act of torment, Crying Child's older brother, along with his friends, forcefully carry him towards the two animatronics with it eventually escalating to them shoving him in Fredbear's mouth, causing The Big Bite. He is taken to the hospital, where his older brother apologizes, before dying.
After the bite, Fredbear's Family Diner most likely shuts down.
