Formed as a result of the Stamp Act9 out of the 13 colonies sent representatives to meet in New York
Told England that the colonists should have a say on internal taxes
England responded that because Parliament ruled all of Britain, the colonists had virtual representation
Led to the formation of the Sons and Daughters of Liberty and a boycott of British goods
