Description:
The Berbers took over most inner land, and then tried to siege coast cities like Carthage. However, as local themes setting up defenses, and still receive supply from sea, these cities mostly last long enough until Nikephoros II sent reinforce there. Due to the war in Aegyptus, the siege in Tingi last until 1014 to lift, the fight in Tingi ultimately forced a peace treaty between the Berbers and the Romans, as the Romans would pay five hundred pounds of gold per year to stop the Berber attacks.
