jan 1, 1783 - 1783 : Treaty of Paris ---- Ended the American Revolutionary War. Great Britain relinquished large territories to America. Some key points of the treaty weren't honored (Britain didn't vacate Northwest forts and some states didn't restore loyalists' properties), these issues were later fixed with Jay's Treaty.
