President Xi wants to expand Beijing's role, making them an obvious competitor of the United States, which is disastrous. President Trump wants China to put more pressure on North Korea to end their nuclear launch tests, if not the United States will take it's own actions if Beijing doesn't act upon it. North Korea has no plans to halt their tests and don't plan on listening to anyone about stopping.
