Description:

Henry Hudson departs on his second voyage for the Dutch East India Company in which he was charged with finding a northerly trade route through the Arctic Ocean above Russia.
When Hudson hears rumors of a supposed northwest passage through North America he acts out of instruction and takes a westwards course towards the Americas. Throughout this trip Hudson is most known for his journey up the Hudson River to about the location of modern day Albany.
