Description:

After the living members of Ferdinand Magellan's crew returned to Spain, King Francis I of France asked Verrazzano to make plans to explore an area between Florida and Terranova, in hopes of finding a sea route to the pacific ocean. The first attempt to make this trip were foiled by damaged ships and foul weather.
In the last weeks of 1523, they set sail again, heading south towards calmer waters.
