Description:
After winning the 1936 election the presidential election, Roosevelt proposed a bill to expand the membership of the Supreme Court. This law would have added another justice for each justice over the a certain age. This plan was largely criticized. This law was never brought into congress. This led to him losing a great deal of political support. The main reason for this bill was due to his frustration with the Court's repeated rejections of the New Deal.
