jan 16, 1778 - The treaty Era
Description:
The Trail of Tears became the federal government that helped when the Native tribes were traveling or settling to the West. Tribal treaties were signed by the U.S. Senate. On the one hand, treaties implicitly recognized that tribes were ruled by queen and/or kings. On the other hand, many other treaties were never signed off by the Senate. Which resulted in treaties being broken, the rights of all these native sovereign nations were trampled at every turn and the people were relocated again.
