Description:
In 407 the western usurper general Constantine III removed all remaining Roman soldiers from Britain to deal with the Crossing of the Rhine.
In 410, the remaing Roman administrators where deposed by local city officials when Constantine III failed to relieve Saxon raiding on the east coast.
The same year, during the Sack of Rome the legitimate emperor, Honorius, sent a letter to the Brittanic communities advising them that the Empire could no longer provide their defence.
