Description:
Following the Classical Age of Greece, the knowledge capital of the world moved to Alexandria, Egypt under the leadership of the Ptolemies. The Library of Alexandria and by extension the Museum were monuments of this accumulation of knowledge. The library focused on collecting Greek texts and expanding knowledge of the world. Erasthenes was the head librarian.
