trot was outspoken n argued with lenin n party on many topics-> many material for ppl to attack him with.
eg: trot critisize lenins new econ policy n increasing control of party by politburo n central executive committee-> seen as disloyalty
also believed in permanent revolution. failed to convince party members.
also fell ill when lenin dieded n chose to shut his mouth on what lenin said abt stalin.
