Dear Amber,

When I saw this week that you had decided to become a single parent and were owning it as a personal decision, I felt a lot of things as a single parent myself.

First of all, I felt unsurprised, after your experience of domestic violence and the internet backlash, I don’t think anyone can blame you for going at parenting alone.

But then, I also felt a little bit sorry for you, because I don’t care how much money you have, being a single mother is thankless, impossible and you will never win.

So Amber, here is what I have found out is different about going it alone versus doing it with a partner.
