jun 13, 2025 - InfinityZoom187 goes into survival
Description:
InfinityZoom187, the server owner and Prime Minister of Inostropia, had for a long time not truly played survival. While he initially began in survival mode, he gradually started using cheats and creative mode more frequently, until it eventually became his default way of playing. This shift had noticeable consequences for the Inostropia server. Access to creative mode and even operator permissions became treated as a kind of rank, and by 2021 the server had effectively become a mix of creative and survival gameplay. After the destruction of the old town, this trend intensified further, and the server increasingly functioned as a de facto creative world, something that was not originally intended. The second world shift later reversed this development. The restoration of the old town marked a turning point, and all players were reset to survival mode, while operator rights for state leaders were removed. Although difficult, this change was widely seen as necessary, restoring Inostropia to a true SMP (Survival Multiplayer) experience. However, Infinity himself did not initially return to survival, explaining that his focus was on building and administrative duties. This changed one night in June when he dreamed of playing survival on his own server, an idea he found amusing and meaningful. Following this, he completed his remaining creative projects in the old town, including finishing his four-year-old villa (which had been destroyed in World War I and later restored during the world moving), as well as repairing key public buildings such as the police station, prison, and library. Finally, on June 13th, 2025, he cleared his inventory, teleported to the Inostropian spawn, set the time to day zero and clear weather, and switched himself into survival mode. This marked the end of the transformation period and the beginning of a new era for both him and Inostropia: from that point onward, the server functioned fully as an SMP, with creative mode reserved strictly for administrative purposes.
