Description:
Group of young civil rights activists who journeyed into the deep South with a goal to change the culture and legislation regarding segregation
Several run ins with the KKK, leading to violent and brutal attacks
Eventually led to the sending of federal marshals to protect the riders (victory for the civil rights movement)
Riders still considered this a worthy fight, despite the possibility of death for it
