jan 1, 1912 - End of the Chinese Dynasties

Description:

Since the nation of China had lost their fight in the Opium Wars during the mid 1800s, the Qing dynasty had fallen into becoming a weak and fragile government.

The British Empire had forced them to open several ports for foreign trade as well as taking the island of Hong Kong for themselves. Following this, a number of rebellions had started to crop up thought the country leading to much internal unrest.

Eventually, the Qing dynasty finally came to an end when the Xinhair Revolution overthrew the ruling monarchy and established a republic. After 4000 years of being under the rule of emperors, the once-mighty China was converted into a weak and powerless government.
