President Ford had certain concerns with the environment. Some of these concerns were pollution, resource depletion, and the dependance of foreign oil. The reasoning behind these concerns is that pollution is slowly killing off life on earth as it is now known. The reasoning for the resource depletion concern is because if the natural resources we depend on are 100% depleted, we can no longer use them to prosper.
