One of the newest features of iOS 11 and the iPhone X was the camera's facial recognition. In addition to the lock screen feature, you can also create your own Animoji to send via text message! According to Apple, the camera recognizes and takes your facial expressions and mirrors them as different Animoji. With this first release, you have the option of sending a 10 second video or a sticker via text message. Available Animojis included a fox, unicorn, cat, dog, alien, and a pile of poop ("Use Animoji on Your iPhone X"). With the release of iOS 11.3, Apple added four new Animojis to the mix: a lion, bear, skull, and dragon (Gartenberg, 2018).Added to timeline:
