Only a small fraction of the once mighty Persian army returned to Persia. After the fight, the Greek fleet sailed for the island of Samos, off the coast of Anatolia. They landed and conquered the Perisan army at Cape Mycale. although this was far from the end of the fights against Persia, the Greeks no longer feared Persian invasion
