The Broodhollow Downtown Fire started from Harker's manor after a cooking fire, resulting in numerous casualties including William Harker and his family.

The fire also led to the murder of Madeleine Delueur, who was working as an orderly at the Umbra Hotel, which was converted into a makeshift hospital.
